had a good day out at blue marsh on sunday, im actually glad the weather was less than perfect, probably kept some of the pleasure boaters off the water, adn it was realtivly easy to fish the main lake. I managed to catch two fish, one was three pounds, adn the other was probably 12in, but i lost two other fish one i know had to be atleast 2.5 pounds it was pretty big, adn the other one, i didnt get to see she hit my drop shot, and started ripping drag and then i felt pop, adn she was gone. even though i lost a few, the three pounder made my day, and its always nice get out adn fish with my uncle! heres two pictures of the three pounder. I told my uncle blue marsh must like me, i caught a 3.7 pound smallie last year, adn now i caught another 3.

Looks good, now if only it was possible to go out and catch a couple (or more...to be greedy about it!) in a day! People seem to be catching some good fish out of there this year all of a sudden. Strange with all the hotweather!

I saw a report on another board that said Blue Marsh is now closed to power boats. They are lowering the lake due to the need for water at public water supply companies. It will reopen when the water levels rise.

Blue Marsh is really drained low. Wasted time driving out there on Friday not knowing that.
