Is struble always this murky? I couldnt even see the top of my prop on my motor guide pro 70. I caught one perch, and there is a good chance it was a foul hook. There was a guy on the bank who had a nice 2.5 pound Largemouth. But only found rocks with my electric. I hear the catties are good though? But seriously what is the story with the water? Algae bloom?

I haven't fished that since the late 70s early 80s, and it was always very murky there. At that time it was surrounded by farm and probably due to fertilizer runoff.

Its always murky. Year round. There was only one time I can remember being there, it was a couple years ago now, but ONE time it was scotch clear. It was really interesting, you could see all the rocks and stumps and junk laying in the mud just out from the boat dock. Went back a couple days later, and it was normal scummy struble.
One piece of advice for launching and not eating up rocks, if your going right, hug the big stump just off the shore. Theres a couple smaller prop eaters between it and the bank. Also on the outside edge there are some hidden monsters of tangled roots and junk. If your headed out to the middle hug the 'crappie point' to the left of the boat dock for about 20 yards or so. After that, unless your really up into the shoreline, you shouldn't have any problems with running into stuff.
