Hit the lake about 530 this morning with my son. We were the first ones in the Dry Brooks lot. Got the boat off the trailer, and began fishing the cove right off the launch. fish were breaking everywhere, but nothing was hitting our cranks or spinnerbaits. We decided to make the run to the "No Wake" zone and try our luck there. First three hours or so where futile, until the sun got fairly high and the water temps came up to 63-64 degrees. Started seeing bass pairing in the shallows, not on beds, but looking like they were getting ready. Starting flipping Yamamato Flappin Hogs in green pumpkin and managed seven LM in about two hours. Fishw ere right up close to the bank under overhanging brush, with water in the 10 to 25ft range within a few feet. Largest was this 21" 5lb 2oz sweetheart. i40.tinypic.com/o52d50.jpGot this three pounder also. Weather was very warm, wind was not too bad, and temps started around 60 and finished about 65 in some of the shallower coves. I'm really begining to like this lake more and more.
