You don't need waders at Blue Marsh. It's Marsh Creek that has the high water right now. I was up there two weeks ago and caught a few.

Was out there with my son this morning to give the boat it's post winter test run. Much to my surprise the outboard started on the third crank, all electronics worked perfectly and there were no problems to be had except for the wind which came up around 11am. I wasn't gonna fish, just run the boat, but my son insisted that we fish. He is a big bait guy, and I had nothing in the boat, so I finally talked him into a perch colored crankbait. Boy was he glad I did. This fish hit on the third cast over a main lake point in about ten feet of water. Then four casts later he hit this fish, a super fat 20" 4lb 11oz smallie, in ten feet of water. He then proceeded to catch two small LM. I couldn't buy a bite today, but it was fun to watch my son catch those two nice smallies. Water temps were 61 degrees in the main lake and 63 in th no wake areas. Great day to be on the water.
