I'm starting to get some reports of nice perch coming out of the lake. One customer told me there was a lady fishing on Chalfont rd. that caught a nice stringer of perch this past week. Another lady was in Saturday said she had caught a perch that was about 14". She returned it to the water as it was only one she caught, and not enough for a meal ! Both we using worms for bait. Maybe they are starting to school up for the winter. Any one else caught any?...Ken

Have caught perch there for a couple of years, including the largest perch I've ever seen alive. Last trip out was two Saturdays ago: nine good-sized perch and a half dozern bluegills/sunfish. The perch not only looked good and tasted good, but they put up a very un-perch-like fight on light tackle. Caught a bunch of them the first time out this year in early May as well.
If we could only get the weeds back on that mid-lake bar running out from the state park, I think we'd see a lot more.

Great Site! I followed the info provided about the perch being caught. Sure enough, the perch co-operated.I caught over a dozen perch that were perfect filleting & eating size! Fortunately for the perch, I released all of them as they were caught......hhmmm next time I think I'll use the bucket for more than just a seat! All the perch were caught fishing the bottom with worms.
