I've always wanted the chance to fish up in Canada. This is the first time I've been out of country and I had a good time. The people are nice and the area is beautiful. I went up with a friend and a couple other guys. We stayed for a week. It was a little hard fishing because of the constant rain/showers and misquitos but I still managed 12 hour fishing days. I caught my two pike, one dink 12 incher and a 27 incher. First time I caught a pike so even though they weren't monsters I was still satisfied. I caught a ton of smallmouth and largemouth. I personally caught a 6 pound smallie (my largest bass) on a chug bug and a bunch of 10-20 smallies in the 2-4 pound range on senkos. I lost quite a few fish at the boat. Seems more like my buddy beat the fish off the line then actually tried to net them! HA! My buddy and the other guys faired alright. A couple nice pike and a lot of very nice smallies. There was a couple hatches in the lake the week before and the fish were REALLY fat. I really wanted to get into some walleye but was skunked. Seemed like they were holding very deep. I haven't really fished in awhile because of school so it's nice to see I still have my touch.
I have pictures but don't have them developed yet. I am looking to head back up to Canada next summer or somewhere in Minnesota. Anyone reccomend any lakes in these areas that are good fishing for pike, walleye, and bass?
