Thinking of heading to Raystown this week, and I've never been there before. Anybody been there lately? Thanks, Ron

My dad use to live and state college and we would go there all the time. That lake is known for their STRIPER and I am talking BIG STRIPER. I think they actually have charters for striper. We always fished from shore catching all different types of fish....Bass...Panfish...etc. There is everything and anything in there....Catfish...Carp....Walleye....Musky...Bass (Large, Small, and Striped) Trout (Lake, Brown, Rainbow) and panfish ( Crappy, Gills, Perch). Apparently there is "Atlantic Salmon" and smelt in there also. www.lunkerguide.com/default.htmGood Luck!

The bite wasn't as good as we hoped for, but I did catch 2 nice smallmouths, and the wife got a 14" crappie. Lots of small stuff, bluegills, rockbass etc. Water just broke 60 degrees the day before we left.

I've heard the horror stories on Raystown, believe me, I wouldn't be going there from Memorial Day to Labor Day unless it was mid week.
