All I have to say is... other than my last trip to Octorara this was my worst trip all year. Made hundreds of casts. Jigged the bottom and middle. Fished a bobber/wax worm. Nada!!! Hit the points, weed beds, drop offs, timber, lilly pads you name it. Had shinners, night crawers, leaches and wax worms with me.
One 4 inch crappie all day... that's it. Not even a bluegill. Did not mark any fish on machine. I talked to every fisherman I went by... general consensus was that the fishing has really declined there the last 2 years. Not a soul I spoke to had caught a fish.
Nice day... a little bit breezy. Water temp was 75.
