Took a ride today to fish somewhere different. Fished the lake from 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Absolutely beautiful conditions... air temp was in the 50's when I started to about low 70's when I left. Water temp AM 72, afternoon warmed to 76. Blue bird sunny day.
Tough fishing... caught about 8 dink LM...maybe 1.5lbs tops. All on purple power worm. Not a bite on spinerbaits or even senko's. Most of the fish were taken off the weedy bank drop off's in about 8' to 10' feet. Caught 3 deep in creek channel.
Tried for panfish here and there also. I could barely get a bluegill to bite. I have caught some monster bluegills at this lake same time of year... were were they??? Found some small ones in about 25' feet on the bottom that's it.
Highlight of the day was releasing a nice cat about 5lbs caught on my ultra light in 30' feet of water... nice fight!
Sure was a pretty day though. Love that lake! total of about 6 boats on it all day.

Arizona...
Its pretty easy to find. Take 476 north, go through the tunnel and get off at exit 74.
After exit take 209 south for about 2 miles into Lehighton... go over river after bridge make right, stay on 209 for a couple more miles until you get to the town of Jim Thorpe.
The road sort of dead ends in Jim Thorpe... you will see the old train station, make a left turn which is BROADWAY. From there just head up the hill through the town for about 2 miles, the name of the road changes and becomes LENTZ trail. Once your out of the town for a while (1 mile) look for the lake on your left. There are signs but they are small. Once you go past the private camp ground it comes up quick on your left.
The lake is 330 acres... basically a flooded valley between two mountains. Yes it is electric only. There are two ramps... the first near the dam (deep water) and the second shallow water cove and stump fields. The first half of the lake is deep 40' in middle and it gets shallow as you head away toward other end. At the very end by the ramp there is many stumps and lily pads. There is a old creek channel you can find with your FF in the middle more toward the road side of the lake. There is walleye and pickerel that make it interesting in there. Also it's a big bass lake... seems to be working I have seen some monster swimming around there. Getting them ti bite is another thing.
Good luck if you go!
