Observations/Notes
Brought the dogs out with us today again. Caught nice fish in the morning and early afternoon and then they were pretty quite for the rest of the day. A few cool experiences today, one was watching my grandpa lasso a fish accidentally when his hook got caught up in a lasso style and the fish swam through. The second was snagging a nice snapper. And the third was Quack the duck (we named him). A young drake mallard followed us around all day from the top end of the lake to the dam area. We would go and next thing we knew he was right next to the boat. He seemed to like us. We didn’t even feed him or anything just were nice to him and I guess he figured we were no threat so he came right up to the boat and stayed there all day. The dogs seemed to not mind him either. It was a sad good bye today for him when we departed from the boat dock, he stood there watching us. Who knows he may be in the ponds behind my house later tonight. All the fish were released to fight again.
