Hit the lake today from around 6:00 AM to 2:00PM. Released about 10 small bass and 2 dozen nice bluegills. Also had 6 perch and 2 crappie. Bass taken on soft plastic, pan fish used small jig/wax worm combo.
Water temp was about 76-78. The lake is starting to get a little grassy... sometimes a challenge to get your baits clean.
I could not believe the amount of boats there on a week day. You could tell that the lake is getting hammered on a regular basis. I managed to catch and have a good time but the fish were worked over. The bigger fish were laying low. I love this place but it's getting a little to crowded for my liking.

The lake seems to have changed in the past few years, spots that used to produce, now nothing....could be all the pressure lately.....anyway good day and i look forward to many more like this....Can anyone turn me on to a good perch spot in any of the local lakes? ? thx

As far as perch spots Marsh Creek is good in the spring around the spawn. I do well in the bridge arm of the lake. Later in the year they can be hard to locate.
I did well up at Mauchunk Lake near Jim Thorpe in the spring also. I'm always looking for big perch too... yum yum.

I've done good on summer perch at hopewell throwing spinners in the front half of the lake. Haven't tried it in a few years though. Lots of baitfish in the those shallow grass beds.
