Sunday, My friend and I hit Laurel Lake in Cumberland Co for our first outing of the year. We caught over 20 stockies in the time we were there. ( 2:00-pm 5:00pm) All were on the some side 6"-12" Only one fish caught on a tip-up. minnows All the others were on jigging rod. Waxies The lake is up to 7 inches of ice now. Thinking about heading up north on thursday ( Promised Land or Chunk anyone been up there this season yet?) Here is me with a little rainbow i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/shillins24/fish063.jpg

Fished Chunk on saturday and Lake Carey in nepa on sunday. Chunk had about 6" of ice at B dock but seemed a little iffy in spots. Lake Carey had about 5" but very solid. Fishing was decent both days with Chunk giving up bass and pickerel and Carey giving up a little of everything.

Drove by the Coatesville resevoir yesterday there were guys on the ice. Thought I was the only nut to venture out on thin ice. I've fished on 11/2" of ice before but I wasn't walking out on the resevoir yesterday. Hope nobody went through. Was hoping to get out Monday might have to settle for some Muddy Run walleyes. Or hit the warm water discharge on the Susquahanna river .Don't think theres going to be any good ice left after the rain today.

Shillins and I hit Tobyhanna yesterday. 10" of solid ice. Lots of flags, mostly hammer handles. A couple decent pickerel and shillins caught to very nice perch on tipups. Jigging only produced pickerel. They seemed to be as hungry for waxworms as much as they were shiners.

Well I hit Tobyhanna again yesterday, I pretty much had the same results as two days ago. A bunch of pickeral and a few decent 12-13" perch, mostly everything was caught on tip ups. Still had about 9"-10" of ice with 4 inches of snow on top.

Went out to Tobyhanna yesterday, it was a rather slow day. Caught a couple pickeral, two small perch and a brook trout. Still had good ice, but had a lot of water on top because of the snow melting.
