All of those fish came from a quarter mile stretch outside of Pocopson near 926. As for presentation- natural and compact soft plastics.

Those are some great fish. I fish just north of there near Radley Run GC and farther up by West Chester. I did not know you could do so well this time of year. Were the fish in the slow deep holes?

A lot of the fish came from slow deep holes. I've been doing well on certain shallow flats, as well.

The spot from the photos has plenty of parking. It's a long walk, though. If you tell me where you're talking about I might be able to direct you. Most of that area is good water.

You've got a PM. Until a month ago, you could park in a couple of spots along the road on the opposite side of the creek. Now it's all posted.

Cameron,
Where in relation to the 926 bridge near Pocopson is the parking lot your writing about? Noticed a nice gravel path in the first photo.

Did you try the same spot this Feb/Mar?
I fished a couple places, but had no luck. I was using 3" senkos, and tried some hot dogs (just trying to get some activity)

Last year was definitely better than this year. If we could have had some substantial rain in the last month or two it would have set the fish up better for me, but the low, super clear water has made it pretty tough to find them from the bank. Heh... I don't think I've ever tried hot dogs for smallmouth...

The hot dogs weren't for the smallies....although i suppose I could have cut them in long strips to make them look like worms Anyway, you've encouraged me for next winter
