3 of us hit Brunner Island yesterday and got into the bass and walleye. Bass went up to 19 1/2 inches, and walleye to 18. Also got into the channel cats up to 24 inches, and hooked a nice striper that through the hook at the last second.
I heard by next year they will stop releasing warm water into the river, so get out there while you can.

Warm water will still be discharged but just not as hot. They had a few large fish kills from releasing water that was to hot. So improvements are being made to stop this from happening again. Shouldn't change anything as it only takes a couple of degrees to keep the fish there and active. It may actually improve the fishing.

Although wading in warmer water is nice in the dead of winter!Ahhh! Although the Cattys,Carp and Shad keep things interesting I love wading and catching Smallies and Wallies on everthing from live bait to topwaters while in the midst of winter.I hope this change is for the better!!!
