Hit Brunner on Sunday. Water is way low. Managed my biggest smallmouth ever at 20 1/2 inches. Also caught a channel cat around 20 inches. All caught on 4 .lb test.

There is some monster fish in there. I have never fished it when it was warm out. Any clue of water temp while you were there?

If I take Rt.30 out to 441 and then head south along the river will that take me to a ramp where I can access the Susky and Brunner Island. I have never been on the river, but I hear there are some great muskies, walleye, smallies etc. in there.

Arizona, Brunner is north of Rt 30, so unless you are running a jet boat its tough to get to from below 30. there are a few access points near Brunner. This area is awesome during colder months due to the warm water that is released. Everything that swims the Susky can be caught here(smallies,walleyes,musky,cats,stripers,carp,etc...).This area is frequented by bank fishermen, waders and boaters, although the preferred boat for this area would be a jet due to the rocks and shallows. Winter wading can be fun, productive and done in comfort when warm water is released .
