Right now is the time! I havent gone out in a few weeks, but keep kicking myself for not going. Last year from august til it was too cold to stand being out there, we caught a LOT of fish!

I might as well of sent you a message instead of a new thread. Ha ha. I might go tonight. Can't think of anything better to do. Not sure if I feel like catching bluegills. Might just give the channels a try. I have some chicken livers and a trout I never ate. Anyone know the water temp on the skuke?

I went out but only for 2 hours. Got a few bites. Didn't put much effort into it. Mosquitos were nuts and I forgot bugspray. I was at the linfield ramp. Saw some guys fishing upstream at that breached dam. I should of tried there but I'm not sure how to get there from land. Water temp is way down from last time I was out.

At Linfield, the best way to get up to the dam now is to go in off Pennhurst Rd. You have to walk the roads through the Game Lands. Pennhurst Rd. is near the Mini Mart across from the old Catholic Church on Main St. Parking spots at the fence and walk in and down to the left. Nice and open, no small trails.
When I was younger we could just walk up from down were the ramp is. Of course the ramp wasn't there and there was nice trails up to the dam. The land wasn't posted along the river back in them days.

Its not posted anywhere up there until your at the dam and there are the usual 'stay back 100ft' etc etc from the dam. Its a little bit of a walk but you can still get to the d**n with ease from the gamelands. If it was me though, I wouldnt make taht left turn once into the gamelands to head towards the dam, instead keep walking straight back until you run into the river. Nice wading area and unbelieveable smallmouth fishing back there. Never walked it, I'm sure its really far, but floating that area (from bridge off linfield rd to the dam) is some pretty awesome waters.
