Just wanted to let everbody know that the owners of that property have it up for sale. So hopefully the new owners will open up that parking lot for everbody.
Personally I think the county should purchase that land and extend the struble trail.

the park should really buy that property since it borders the park anyways! Hopefully it wont be turned into houses or anything like originally planned.

Its about a week to late to participate, but just so anyone who reads this knows. Curt Schroder, our local state representative. Had a rally at Kerr park in downingtown to make a proposal for the state to purchase the land, keep it as a park and historical site, and even possibly extend the trail. Read about it here. I really hope it doesnt turn into more housing! www.curtschroder.com/?sectionid=19§iontree=19&itemid=251

Rumor i heard was that they couldn't build homes back there, due to high floud area. Are you allowed to fish it as of now? I grow up on that stretch of water, hell i learned how to trout fish there. Broke my heart to see that area posted off.

If you can find a place to park, you can fish. Just dont walk around on the 'mill' property, despite what those people think they DO NOT own the creek, so if your wading the creek or on the bank, they cant tell you not to fish. The problem is theyve managed to successfully block off all means of parking including the one car spot that was on rt 282 there for a little while.

I have fished there many times this summer. There is one spot on the right, after you pass the bridge heading to d-town, not to sure what road it is but we parked there after asking the owner; he had no problem with it. He was just as angry as we were that there is no parking there anymore. Me and my buddies have fished there and it was loaded with trout in July and August. Don't know about know now, but they just stocked the delayed harvest area right on the other side of the bridge there. I was just looking around and happened to stumble on this article dsf.chesco.org/ccparks/cwp/view.asp?a=1578&q=622135it's written by the Director of parks and Recreation for Chester County

Since the land is posted, does that mean The BTC can not stock there? I know there is at least 3 main stocking points in the stretch, that would tell me they would have to walk on private land to stock.
