Today it looked like the fishing gods might have things converging in a favorable direction; that is warm weather, water temps in upper 50s, stream was clear and we were pre-front. So I decided to fish the Brandywine this a.m. near Chadds Ford. I ended up with a pretty good day as I caught 6 smallies, two sunfish and a fall fish (first one I've ever caught.) All fish were caught on a spider jig in current seams or slack water. With the approaching rain and cold weather I suspect that there won't be many opportunities again this year. But happiness is catching smallies in December! Joe
