Today around 5 o'clock the PFBC stocked around 1500 rainbow trout in the lake. There were tons of people there to watch, most of them tried to catch them right after they were put in, but I highly doubt they caught any as they were still acclimating to the water temp. But in the next few days they will be biting esp. if it stays this warm!

I was thinking of heading up there on Sunday to try for some trout. Is the lake frozen or can I get my boat in? Also what is the regualtion on keeping tout there this time of year. Is it allowed and if so how many and what size does the fish have to be. I have actually never eaten a trout and would like to give it a try.

I don't think your allowed to fish for trout from march 1st until opening day except in early season trout stocked waters. I'm not sure if scotts run is one of those places.

I knew something didn't seem right so I drove up there and it was frozen solid with ice fisherman on it.

Was in the park on Weds, and both lakes are ice free. No one fishing on hopewell, but a couple of guys bank fishing on Scotts. Saw one guy catch one decent fish about 14" off the dam. March 1st is the last day to fish on Scotts due to the earlier trout season coming in on the last sat of the month.
