For the guys who fish Scotts Run , during the extended March trout season, please note changes for this year. We heard rumors of cutting the season short this year on Scotts. We have now confirmed this via Bob Bonney of the PFBC.
1. The last day to fish Scott Run Lake is Saturday, February 31, 2007, after that it is closed to fishing until Saturday, March 31, 2007, First Day Of Trout Season.
2. They are stocking Scott run Lake on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. "Browns" only.
These changes are due to the earlier opening of Trout season this year at the end of March.

Yes, the ice does not stop them. They normally cut a hole with chain saws, at the launching ramp, to put them in.

I was at Scotts Run on opening day and all we caught were Brook Trout. I saw a few brownies taken out but so much for all "browns".
