Just a couple general questions about hopewell and scotts run. Is there a bait shop close to the park that sells Topo maps of the lakes. Also which lake is better to fish for bass in. What types of structure and cover are available in both lakes. Ill be fishing one of the lakes this monday for the first time and would just like to have some general info before hitting the lake. any reply will be greatly appreciated.

I've fished Hopewell a number of times. I've never seen a topo map of the lake, nor do I know of any tackle stores nearby....sorta sounds like I'm not much help..LOL But, Hopewell isn't much more than a bowl. There is grass but the growth is not consistent year to year. You should be able to find some on a flat just to the right side of the dam and in the two coves on the left side. There's also a nice 4 to 8 foot drop on the outside of both of the coves on the left. On the right side down past the beach area is some wood but the water is pretty shallow. That's all I've got...
