Has anyone been to Blue Marsh after the floods? From what I read, the lake level was up more than 17 feet! Can anyone confirm this, or get any pictures? That would be something to see!

Superfish,
As of today the lake remains closed to any recreation until July 7th. I guess they will then reassess to see if they can open for the weekend. I had heard last week that the water level was at 309' which is 24' above normal pool of 285', but that was 2nd hand info.
I actually drove past there last Saturday on Rt 183 and then again this past Tuesday. Based on the "staining" of the leaves on the trees, the water was WAY UP!!! It was still high on Tuesday, but it did come down quite a bit. The debris floating in the water is definitly going to cause some havoc if they don't clean up some of the floating trees up!

I called the park office at Blue Marsh today and they WILL be reopening the lake on Saturday July 8th. However the gates to the ramps will not open until 7am.
They also said there is quite a bit of debris still in the lake that they are trying to clean up. A boat from the park that was doing some of the clean up and replacing buoys hit a submerged picnic table.
The stuff floating on the top is easy to see, but it is the submerged stuff that will get you!
