My neighbor and I have been fishing Chambers at night from 10 till 2 and action has been sporadic to say the least. At that time of night the bluegills are evident about 6" below the surface when shining a light on them. No topwater action but every now and then a senko will do the trick. Bass are hanging deep. Very frustrating, but the drought is not helping the situation. Should pick up in October.

I have only fished Chambers 3-4 times this year, but have found it to be really slow each time. No pickeral at all and only 2-3 smaller bass ( 10-12") each time, except for this past Sunday when I got the skunk. I've tried everything but live bait. I am not sure if it is me, bad timing, or if the lake is hurting due to pressure/fish being taken.

How is the water level on Chambers now? I heard they were pumping a lot of water out of it from one of my customers.

It is pretty low, though not quite as low it was a few years back when the drought was really bad. I would say it is down about 4 feet or so. The low water area north of the parking lot ( where people can wade out really far even during normal levels ) is completely exposed now.
