Hello fellow fisherman. I'm the guy at my church in charge of setting up father son wknd camping trips. I don't fish Scotts run and Hopewell often but I heard grass gets bad there in the summer. I'm looking to set up a camping trip 1st or 2nd in August. My question is does anyone have a pretty good idea of how the grass might be then? We plan on fishing from shore so if the lakes are covered in grass it won't be much fun. If anyone knows some other campground to try please let me know. We are strictly a set up tents type camping people. We don't do RVS or rent cabins

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately they don't have group tents area only individual sites. We like being all together so adults can chop it up with ease and all the boys are together

Yea too far we based out of Pottstown. Just saw a picture of Hopewell on the app fish brain. It's already covered in lily pads. But we might just settle for french creek and take what Scott's run offers. Does anyone know if Hopewell s dam gets choked with weeds also
