Went to the Westside this morning and it is completely under water. The lake extends from the kayak area out to the paved road. The point is presently an island. The docks are in but submerged. You can launch but you will need boots.A new apparatus is located in the right side dock.I couldn't get there but it looks like something to assist with getting in and out of kayaks.

How long does it usually take for the water level to go down?

Reply from my email. Dredging will start in April, lake access will not be affected. It will be contained to the current closed cove once done the cove will be re-opened. Dredging is a common practice to improve lakes and fishery’s, new / more fish habitat will be added after the dredge is complete. Yes maintenance is working on the parking lot as a sinkhole developed in the lot. They are simply removing dirt and adding stone and improving drainage. Should be all done and cleaned up in the next few weeks. James Wassell | Park Operations Manager French Creek / Marsh Creek State Park Complex Attachments:

joe - thanks for recent update on the dredging. hopefully they won't screw this up and not take forever. btw, the buoys/rope off are still up where they were last year but there is a new (more serious set) a bit farther up into ranger cove. there is a distinct difference in the water clarity north of these new buoys/rope off.
update on the water level - still well up reaching the canoe railing at lindell side, but the point is no longer an island. you should be able to launch no problem. chalfont is closed to traffic. speaking of traffic, apparently little conestoga is closed at milford 6 days a week. not sure why, but this is where sonoco has a maintenance area and may be basing the dredging work. also seems to be a road closure along 282 near little washington - i didn't go far enough to see if locals were getting by.
