Scotts Lake gates are closed. Road looks ice covered. Hopewell Lake has open water at islands. No signs of anyone being on the ice. After today, getting very cold. Things will change.

1-25-22 Hopewell 1:30PM.. Lots of activity. Open water at islands. Temperature 38F Degrees.

Scotts Run Lakes gate is open, road clear. 1-25-22 1PM Looks like there has been activity on the ice. Maybe thin ice on side near the outhouse?

Feb 8, 2022 10:30 AM Both lakes ice covered, with open water at boat ramps & Hopewell Islands. NO one seen on the ice at both lakes.

Hopewell has ice at the boat ramp area. The rest of the lake looks like open water. Just need an ice breaker to get there.
Scotts Run has thin ice on the road side of the lake. The far side & upper lake has heavier ice, where the sun doesn't always hit it. All unsafe, is my guess.
Warm today, and very windy. Helps get rid of the ice.
