Hi I'm a new member. I live in south jersey I was wondering is there anywhere in eastern pa where I could use a 16 ft bass boat to catch smallies. It has a 50 hp and a trolling motor so creeks or rivers are ok too. Thanks

The Delaware and Susquehanna both hold smallies, give the nod to the Susky as the better of the two. You may be limited on travel at either river due to low water, rocks, etc. There are several dams on the lower Susky that provide some deeper water, but not always better fishing LOL.
For lakes - Nockamixon is supposed to have some but have no first hand knowledge. It is a 20hp limited lake so you would only be able to use your electric motor. Blue Marsh and Beltsville have decent populations. Both are unlimited hp lakes so your gas motor is good. Both also have large areas of No Wake so you can get away from the water skiers, jet skiers and pleasure boaters. Blue Marsh is a tuff lake but you generally get nice fish if they bite LOL. Haven't been up to Beltsville in quite a few years, back then we got more undersized fish with a few nicer ones. All 3 lakes also have stripers/hybrids so hold onto to your rod LOL.

I believe many people who know a lot more than I do, claim the Susquehanna is one of the best small mouth waters in the world.
I LOVE the white fly hatch there!
