My son and I had another late start, not getting on the water until about 7:15. There were two or three other boats on the water. It was flat calm and chilly. We fished until almost 9 and caught 6 bass, all between 1 and 1.5 pounds. We also caught about 6 large bluegills. All were released. Right as it was getting dark and before we left we worked along the dam and there was plenty of action. We were using nightcrawlers under floats but it was too dark to see the strikes. We will try to hit the dam next time out.

Did you happen to notice what the water temp was while you were there? I am expecting the action to pick up down there shortly. Last time out (a week ago) I was able to land 6 Bass that day.....but as you said; all were around 1 to 1-1/2 lbs. I did see the BIGGEST Bass I have ever seen in the shallows, but I saw her and she saw me and that was all she wrote. Last year I caught a 10+ elsewhere and this monster was certainly larger than that. She was not on a bed; she was just cruising around but stopped "to rest" beside a lone lily pad stem. I have read several posts so far this year about good action down by the Dam; I personally have never had any luck on that part of the lake.
