I was thinking of taking my Jon boat to Scott's run for opening day of trout. Is this a mistake? Does it get crazy crowded?

Haven't been there for years, but it used to get really crowded. But then again, where doesn't it on the first day?

reponse 2 opening day scotts run OVERCROWDED AND GET THERE EARLY.EARLY,EARLY.I have counted over 50+boats. Limited parking from hundreds of shore fisherman.shoreline covered, which forces boats toward center of lake.and to navigate boat through the others is difficult in any windy conditions.I would never deter any fishing adventure, but the sooner you get in the water and park the better.Plan on making a day out of it.boat ramp is crazy from some coming some going.Night lights are a necessity. If you have to wait until the sun comes up to get in the water It could be starting time before getting settled.I prefer to wait a few days into the season, and it becomes less like work and worry and more like fishing.
