Want to take my granddaughter for carp. Haven't fish for them since I was a child. Is corn and dough balls still the trick? I alsa cann't remember what size hook we used . Any suggestions will help me remember. Thanks

Usually use smaller hooks, like a #6 or 4 works well. Get something nice and sharp though, I usually use Gamakatsu hooks, they are strong and very sharp. Dough baits work well caught a lot on that earlier this year, usually vanilla scent. Or also bread balls work well, just harder to cast out far without losing the bread. Struble carp can be funny, some days you can catch a lot, other days they wont commit to the bite. Good luck!
