Fishing on Strube seems to be finally picking up. Was out wading the shore line a couple of times last week and today. Been catching some decent crappies (for struble) every time. All about the same size 8-9" (compared to the 6-7" in years past), but nice healthy, deep black colored, fish with good weight on them. Still a lot of small perch, but again the average larger then past years. If this keeps up I think this will be a great fishery for perch in the next couple of years, as the lake is loaded with them. Also as a bonus today caught a nice healthy 4 lb LM on my 7" UL noodle rod, on a 1/16 oz yellow crappie jig. That was a battle. Also heard from three or four anglers, some nice bass being caught along the dam, and catfish and carp being caught in the shallows.
