That's a beauty. They put a lot of nice trout in there. Is there a lot of boats out there opening day?

Thanks Aaron and take yea there was some boats out there, most where coming in when we were going out for the afternoon bite. One guy I know caught a 7 lb chain pickerel out there and it got his hand pretty good. It was a great day and that was the only fish I caught lol.

Huge for a Brookie! Awesome, looks like the one from the "mistake stocking" two ice seasons ago (good times). Great fish, they stocked yesterday and were biting today. There were A LOT of dead fish where they put them in, I guess they died en route. This time they were mostly 'bows. A lot of people fishing but plenty of trout to go around. I too used to practice strict catch and release, then I discovered smoked trout.

Trout is yummy, I was going to head down the other day but I figured they might be few and far between. Me and my brothers went to Blue Marsh and hit up the crappie, caught 50 or so. Kept 18 or so to eat. The brook was fun to catch, she was a little different to the pallet, like a aged wine.
