Just wondering why the back part of the lake is closed off. Thinking it might just be for spawning season? I remember it being open. Any thoughts.

I believe it is due to the spawning of bass and other fish, however on the eastern Pennsylvania fishing board people were saying it was because of bird migration. I am not sure why but all i know is it opens back up in early June so my though is it is due to the bass spawning.

I'm pretty sure it's a waterfowl propagation zone.

Correcto, its for the waterfowl propagation area. They usually open it up around the opening of bass season or a little after.
