I am new to the area... but someone else told me that Black Rock Dam is good for Catfish at night.
I tried to find it on google earth with no luck... maybe you could tell me where it is. I live in Ardmore, but I have only lived in the area about 1 year.
Thanks

Using Goggle Earth, type in Phoenixville, PA. When it brings up the map, you will see a loop in the river. The dam is near the lower end of the loop, and at the other side, Rt 113 crosses the river. There is a boat launch at Rt 113. I grew up in Ardmore, entered the Navy in 1965 and never lived there since. By the way, if you are not familar with the location of Phoenixville, you would take Montgomery Ave out of Ardmore and follow it to King of Prussia, it will change names to Gulph Rd out there. Continue on Gulph Rd past the mall and into Valley Forge Park. At the park it will become Rt 23, and that takes you right to Phoenixville. Rt 113 crosses Rt 23 at the far end of town.

Chris you are a real funny guy ;D
Scott, take rt 23 to where intersects with rt 113, make a right onto rt 113 N follow that out of town, look for a clearing about 10 yards wide on the right side, you will be able to see right down to the river, pull over, walk down the path in the clearing and find a place to set up. if you see the sign for th fish ladder construction on rt 113 you have gone a couple hundred yards to far, if you hit the bridge at the boat launch you went a mile or so to far.

oh yeah almost forgot, Tomm, I was below the dam. You can see the fish ladder construction across the river in the upper right corner of the pic, thats the rt 113 side of the dam. I was on the canal side a few hundred yards below the dam.
