I was out today as it was my day off, it was raining and a lil chilly so I figured I would have the creek to myself or maybee share it with 1 or 2 others, no biggie right? Well I get to a spot along french creek and there was 2 other guys fishing, I can live with this, no problem. I get out and am fishing about 100 yds down from them and within a few minutes they leave, even better!!! I go up to the spot I usually fish and an older fellow pulls up and he comes down and we BS a lil, nice fella, again no problem. He informs me the stocking truck will be there shortly and he usually helps stock, I figured I would help too since it was just us there. Well as I am fishing (the spot is very close to the road), the older fella is up on the side of the road salivating and waiting for the truck full of trout to come,as if its a pizza delivery man after hes been stranded on an island without food for a month. A dozen or so cars and trucks start driving up and down the road and asking if we had any luck and if the stock truck had been there yet, like bees swarming around a hive! I am not a big trout fisherman, I prefer other species, but I like to get out for them now and then, so this type of conduct for a 10" fish that really doesn't fight that well kind of blows my mind a bit? Well we hear a noise and see the lights coming up the road in the distance, its the truck, with a train of about 30 cars full of guys decked out head to toe with their trout gear, I like to refer to theese people as "TROUT WARRIORS", kinda reminded me of the movie field of dreams when all the cars started showing up!!! The trout warriors park behind the truck and the WCO starts handing buckets of trout to guys and they go prancing up the sides of the creek to locate their 10" trophys into their new temporary homes. They all pile back into their vehiclles, follow the truck to their next spot to do it all over again. I was thinking theese guys are alright , they come out and help stock, thats great. So I get to fishing and land 2 ok trout one 14.5" brownie and one 11" rainbow, I start to notice one by one all of those guys who helped to stock plus 20 of their closest friends and family were lined up and down the creek!!!! I especialy love the trout warriors who wear their waders and insist on getting into a creek that you can cast across with ease and walking right in front of other people??? Well I landed to more trout both around the whopping 10" mark and it was time fr me to leave, It was getting a lil frustrating trying to fish a lil creek with 40 trout warriors all around. I released my trout to "fight" another day, all in all it was an expierience to say the least!!!
