last August I saw a 25" breeder rainbow in the west branch of the brandywine. It was moving slowly and if I had a net I probably could have snagged it.
Did anyone catch it?

I personally didn't, neither did my buddies.
Doesn't the Brandywine have a lot of holdover trout? My buddy said that but I havn't fished it that much last year.

Last year there was a problem with one of the hatcheries and during the fall delayed harvest stocking they put in a LOT of really nice, breeder sized fish. Thats possibly what you saw with that one. I'm sure most of them have been plucked out of there by now, but maybe a few still around.

There are still some decent trout left in the Brandywine. Yesterday I was fishing up through Hibernia park and I got a really nice 23" brown trout on a bronze on black Rooster Tail. Good thing my son was there to verify the catch as I forgot my camera in the truck. Why are all the nice fish caught when a camera is not around??

Thats a serious trout arizonaangler. I fished a section of valley creek and got a few but they were pretty small. weren't many in the usual holes. Must of got fished hard or stocked less. There was a real nice palameno but I couldn't get him to bite.

My son got a really nice 16" pally this afternoon out of French Creek. Caught his on a redworm.... he's not much of a artificial lure guy.
