When the forsythia (spelling?) are blooming the hickories shad are in the river assuming that the river isnt chocolate milk. The herring and Stripers will be there then too also carp will be biting. Big white perch will be in the deep holes out in front of Port deposit, but they dont stay there long. White shad will start when the dogwoods are blooming, but I wouldnt expect to catch too many. The last few years have not been good for them. Herring are starting to show up now. Some hickories may be there now but I doubt if they will bite with the low water temps.

It's called Fisherman's Park and from what I was told it's going to be open to everybody but it's being built so that the handicapped have access to it.

just read on another board that the first hickories have been reeled in at Deer Creek. Just a few, but it will only get better now. they are right on time with the fersinthia bloom.

Shad are running hard. Caught a bunch at deer creek. There was only three other guys there. Gotta love rainy days. Caught both types. I always forget which is which species. Even saw guys a few hundred yards up deer creek catching them when I was driving by.
