saw a few guy ice fishing the northern finger when I drove over the bridge. I doubt it's real thick but it will be soon enough.

We heard there was a lot of guys out on all parts of Marsh today (we were too busy today to go take a look) , however we talk to guys going out fishing and usually don't here reports from the lake until a day or so later. Had one fellow in late friday, who had just come off the ice, (he was fishing in park cove), and said there was a good 6" of ice there. He also said he caught several nice bass on tip ups. Also said another fellow near him was catching some nice bluegills and perch. With all the guys fishing there must have been someone from this board out there. How about a report !

Gonna give the lake a shot tomorrow or possibly Struble. From the looks of it Struble might be my best bet. Do you believe the ice will be thick enough after our warm spell. New to the ice fishing scene. Dont want to make it a bad begining. Thanks.

I think struble will be thick enough but theres gonna be some slushy spots and the edges might be a little thin.

From my experience 1 -- 45 degree day doesn't effect the ice. After a few & the water warms the ice tends to get soft. Snow on the ice never does it any good. Unless the snow melts & re freezes making the ice thicker.but white ice is usually weak.I think struble will be fine. Always use your better judgment cut holes as you move if you are unsure. Have a great time the ice never lasts long enough. If only the ocean would freeze.could you imagine catching catching flounder through the ice!!!!!!

Is it just me or is the fishing slow everywhere. It was all I could do to catch 1 perch of the coatesville res. Not 1 b-gill. usually you can catch those at will there.
