Hit the lake today not knowing what to expect. Water was around 55 and stained. No wind at all. Lake was down at least 1 foot.
Tried for picks around the stumps and grass without a bite. Blue gills and small bass were biting though. Lost count on the gills but caught about 10 small bass on 3" tubes. Had a few crappies on structure in 18' to 22' feet. I was hoping for a better crappie bite. I think there are plenty but they had lock jaw for the most part. I was marking lots of fish suspended in the deeper water.
Good day but was looking for a better crappie bite.
The amount and diversity of bird life around the lake was amazing... Nothing like watching a eagle feed in the wild!
