Lake Aldred on 11/2. This is one of 14 smallies (several over 4lbs) & 3 keeper walleyes we manage to land. We hooked several more good fish but , were unable to land! Hope to get back there soon but, so many places are on fire this time of year & not enough time !!! P.S. BELIEVE IT WHEN I SAY THIS MIGHT BE CONSIDERED A SLOW DAY FOR FALL FISHING ON ALDRED! At least its produced excellent fall fishing for me for over 2O years.

Tracker, Lake Aldred is on the Susquehanna river, it is the next lake above Conowingo Reservoir. I use to fish there in the 1980's it was a very good lake especially in the fall like Johnny said. We always launched the boat at Pequea Creek. I'm not sure how to tell you to get there, I don't know the names of the roads that I took. Maybe somebody else can help with directions to the boat ramp.

Midnightbasser is correct, Pequea Creek access.I would just like to forewarn you that this pool (Aldred) is fluctuates more than Conowingo or Longlevel, resulting in exposure or near exposure of shoals and rocks which can make for dangerous boating. SO PLEASE USE CAUTION WHEN RUNNING THIS LAKE!

Fished there a few times. It has to be at least 10 years or more. When they cut back the flow at Safe harbor dam the water can get low. I always went up toward's the dam if they did not have too many turbines going. Never did very well from the launch south towards Holtwood. Looking at the picture I will have to revisit this section of the river again. Seems like the smallies have grown up since I was there last. I used to show them who's boss when I broke out the chrome and blue rattle trap.

Yeah, I've been there a few times. Mostly fished right below the dam in the middle of the rocks. My partner has a jet boat. We did good most of the time.

Here's some directions I found to Pequea launch ramp
Rt 113S to 30 W then Rt 222S OR Rt 422 to 222S Then: Rt 222S to Rt 324S to Pequea Launch. Watch signs on Rt 222S…some detours. Also: Rt 324S is a narrow and winding road.
