Want to take my son out on Sunday and was just wondering if anyone has been having any luck lately. Water temps ought to be just about right for the fall bite.

Neighbor and I went out last week and he took some nice 3 pounders out of the back area. All on tubes slow on the bottom after dropping off edge of weed beds. I caught a decent fish on a chatterbait in 10 to 12 FT range. Yellow and white on spinnerbaits and chatter baits and Pumpkin color on tubes. Black 4" senkos after the sun sets. Hope this helps. Pickeral are also active this time of year, had a few cut lines last time out, there hitting anything.

Sounds good. Hopefully we should have a pretty good day. I like to fish the drop off at the flat and the "back" area in and around all the stumps. Thanks for the tips...will report back later.

We were there Saturday 4th and everybody was tearing the lips off of the fish. Everybody but us. We had people catch fish right next to our boat as they floated by and we didn't even get a decent strike. The kid fishing from the dock even caught a bass as we were backing in to launch. I still don't know what happened, but I made up for it the next day at Hopewell.

We got out and got some fish, nothing over probably 8" though. We got 17 in all, my son using shiners and I threw everything in the box, and finally started hooking up with Rattle Traps. Water temps 63-65 and a little stain to it.
