In the mid 60's there was a company that made rods which had walnut (wood) inlays in their rod handles. The model was called the Mark IV. Also earlier models of their casting rods had checkered walnut fore grips like a fine gunstock. Who is that company?

OK that question didn't work. The answer is Heddon. They were known for their lures but also made rods and reels up thru the 50's and 60's.
Lets try another question:
Whats the brand name of a former high quality metal tackle box maker in the 50's and 60's that is also the name of a former president?

come on, the spool was made of nylon, some had outer cases made completely of nylon
