Got to the lake this morning around 5am, weather was great. Water temps between 78.5 and 81.2 degrees. Pretty warm. Not a breathe of wind. Started with a buzzbait, nothing. Switched to a Basspro Shops XPS popper, black and gold, about three inches long. Caught 14 basson this lure and nothing on anything else. Highlight of the day was this nice LM I got off the flat at the far end of the lake. Threw the popper about 50 yards up on the flat and she smacked it. Didn't see anything but the mouth when she hit. Weighed out at 6lb 2oz on my Rapala digital scale. The lid to the tackle box she is on measures 21" across. Beautiful fish. Took alittle time to revive her, but she left in a hurry when she was ready.
