Went out at 12:30pm, day started off slow, with only 3 small bass in the first 4 hours. Fished everywhere and couldn't find a pattern. Used cranks, worms, spinners, even topwater but only got the 3 small ones. At about 4:30pm I saw some baitfish sputtering around a small log (nothing new) with about 4 foot of it in the water, decided to throw a crank at it. I ended up getting 6 bass off that log and I still missed three, so with about 12 casts to the log I caught 6 ranging from 12" to 3lbs. and lost three that I had to the boat , one of which would have been the biggest at I would guess 4lbs easily. It was great! I never had anything like that happen before. I hope to make it there this week again since they close on the 31st. Jim Neery, who runs the place, said it has been really tough lately. I've always caught 2 maybe 3 at the most when there, but this was great, I think it is a good fall pattern. Good Luck to all and don't let winter depress anyone!!! Spring is on the way!!! HAHA Mike S
