Busy week and just getting time to post a report from Sunday. Was at the the Octo from 10 - 2 and fished along the shoreline and under the bridge along rt 472. Caught a few crappie; all about 6". Threw them all back. After about an hour, the bite fell off, so I decided make some casts away from the shoreline toward the middle and slowly work the bait back. Then it started ....... perch after perch after perch after perch! in about 2 hours time I caught about 50, but only 6 were in the 9" range, so I kept those. I would have kept going, but I ran out of bait. I had about 2 dozen minnows, a couple dozen meal and wax worms. When I finally switched to butter worms after everything else was gone, I got into some many small Bluegills that I decided to leave. Not a bad time out since that was "probably" my last day fishing this year.
