Does any know where the better shore fishing spots are at along Struble lake? The only place I can find is approx 100 feet to the left of the boat launch and it seems very shallow and weedy.

Depends on what your fishing for. If your after bass its going to be tough without getting your feet wet. Your going to have to cocentrate on the left side of the lake. From the lot you can fish from there all the way to the trussel. And should have good luck on bass. If you walk to the right your going to have to get wet.

Fished the shore form ramp to the right all the way to the stumps back by train bridge with spinnerbait and wet feet. Never got bumped.
Saw one bass jump out of water and land on the stump near ramp where cormorants poop. ( P U ).
Learned a few things. 1) first two creeks to right have cold water and sand deltas at junction with lake. Cold water runs under warm water in old creek channel. Should be fish there. 2) Stumps up lake by duck blind have rock pile. (knew that) However, never knew the area to be home to so many crayfish. 3) Algae bloom was real bad. Lake has nutrient problems.

this has probably been posted a while ago, but thought i would enlight. as for the streams coming into the lake. warm or cold, delta or not. dont even bother. the water is soooooo shallow all over that first cove by the dock there isnt much around there except catfish and carp in the spring. i will give u partial secrets where to locate fish (well no secret but my success) get a boat! or something to float away from the overfished shore areas near the parking lot. head down the left side as ^ he said and try that. or go the other side and there are some stumps down towards the far end that usually hold some fish, if no luck there, directly across from the stumps is where a lot of the fish structures were put in last summer, that area usually holds some fish. If you or anyone ever goes out with a depth finder i think you might be surprised at the lack of deep water, most of the shorelines are no deeper than a foot or 2 for about 10-15 feet from the shoreline.

Are there any bass tournaments on this small lake. I heard of one last year but didn't think there was any tournaments.

This is not a tournament type lake as of yet as reports of bass with any weight are sporadic. There are now almost 80 porcupine habitat cribs that Brandywine Bassmasters has installed that should help to increase the population. Given more time and the introduction of more cover could turn this around. One big drawback is the lack of depth that a good bass producing lake needs. Struble is perfect for kids, and would make a good lake for tournaments of the younger set. The following opinions are entirely my own based on my involvement with the club.
