Question... How early in spring do you start your fishing?

Who stops .... I can no longer put the effort into ice fishing due to health issues. During a few of our more recent "ice free" winters I spent quite a bit of time on my buddies boat. We were out a few times before freeze up this year as well but missed some time since his trailer broke. Now that most lakes are ice covered we've been hitting a few spots on the Schuylkill looking for musky on warmer days.

I guess I am not enough of a diehard fisherman . I do not like or enjoy the cold. I’d move down south more if it weren’t for family and work. I usually start spring fishing in April. When it starts to warm up. I do struggle with actually catching until usually mid to late April. I see and hear about those of you that fish all year, and enjoy it. That’s great! I’m glad you enjoy it.

4in of ice and I'm on it. If it's ice free I'm fishing all winter long. I have a couple winter spots around here and northern Maryland
