Spent about 6 hours on Marsh Creek today. Threw everything in my tackle bag early on, during a very overcast morning. Just prior to noon, the sun finally came, so we headed for the shallows where the water was warmer. We went all the way up to just about the bridge. I caught a pretty good quantity of yellow perch, one after the other. Ultra light tackle, bait hook, one 1/8th oz split shot about 24" up from the hook bait with night crawler pieces.
I was catching them so easily and quickly, that I actually stopped and began to throw inline spinners. All perch were under 12", all were put back in the water.
Then my friend and I went to the Northern shoreline to the shallow warm water and fished in an easterly direction again with inline gold colored spinners. Again, we caught perch and bass. Once we hit shaded water or water deeper then 6 - 8' we didnt catch any more. We tried the western shoreline, where the parking lot is, for about 45 minutes. Another caught there either.
