Have been giving the lake a break since the spill and was excited to fish today. Unfortunately it seems like the fishing was worse than ever. People I've talked to expressing the same sentiment. How have you all been fairing? In the past I've had pretty decent fishing at in the fall. There's been little news on the lakes condition since the spill and seems it like Sonoco and the government want us to forget it ever happened. I hope I am wrong.

Marsh Creek is my go to lake. I don’t fish a lot, but MC is where I usually go. With the crazy crowds this year, I lost interest. Tried Chambers today, caught 3, but only one was decent. I plan to get back to Marsh Creek again next year. I really hope things get back to normal there.

I've missed going to Marsh Creek, my favorite lake. Haven't been there in at least a few months. People have been flocking there in large crowds and the boat rentals were in full force when I was there. Blaring boom boxes, people screaming and carrying on, and large flotillas of people who come together to kayak in large groups. Not worth it now. May try soon. Don't know about the fishing - I do well on the yellow perch there and that's what I'll be targeting when I go back. Probably when the boat rentals are done, maybe sooner. I rented a spot at Green Lane and will do the same next year, all the noise and crowds at Marsh are a big turnoff for me. Have to learn Green Lane, the water is always stained but no doubt there are some nice fish in there. I do prefer the clear water at Marsh Creek though.
