First off, happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there!
Second, has anyone been having luck with bass on the lake? It’s my first year fishing from a boat after fishing the shores for 30 years. I thought things would be easier since I could cover more ground but hasn’t been the case.
Spinnerbaits are my go-to previous years especially since they lure in the occasional musky but all that seems to be biting are the perch. I’ve been fishing from 30 yards out casting to the banks and bringing it in varying retrieve, color, etc. I’ve tried early morning, day, and evening (haven’t done night yet that’s on my list once I get some lights).
If anyone has something that’s been working well for them that they don’t mind sharing, I’d appreciate it. Probably something I need to figure out on my own but thought I’d take a chance, thanks.

You are beating the same banks/shoreline hundreds if not thousands have casted at already. These fish in this lake see more fishing pressure than any other lake in area, so they won't bite just anything. If you want better luck, expand your region and look for more water to fish. Marsh creek is a zoo for fishing and recreational boating.

If spinner isn't working, try slowing it down. Finesse and rubber worms all the way. The fish are a little smarter here because of what that guy said ^.

It's been tough this year. I agree with the above, slow presentation, finesse with rubber, jigging the bait. I have found good luck on the weeds at about 8 feet.

Thanks all for the input, I’ll try to switch it up a bit with plastics and see if it does the trick.
Good luck out there everyone.

I find 4" YUM Dingers (green and red flake) very effective. To make my presentation look a little different from what they are used to seeing, I thread a couple of pieces of rubber skirts of varying colors through the YUM Dinger. Works for me. No weights, just let it do its thing.

Nice one Matt, I’d kill for one of them right now.
Thanks for the tip Cajun.
